What are the steps to becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister?
- Call the Big Brother Big Sister office at 905-735-0570, and set up an Information Session with one of the Caseworkers.
- Following the 30 to 40 minute Information Session the Caseworker will review the application package with you.
- Once the agency has received your application, the Caseworker will begin the intake process with you that includes References, a Criminal Record Check, a Personal Screening process, and most import of all a Child Safety Training program. Once you have successfully completed all of the enrollment procedures, our staff will take care to match you with a Little who shares your interests.
- You’ll be on your way to a rewarding and fun friendship!

New Flex Schedule
Yes, our new FLEX schedule allows you to choose one of three volunteer time options:
- Traditional: Three to four hours a week, every week.
- Weekly: One hour each week (In-School Mentoring Only).
- Bi-Weekly: Three to four hours every other week.
Never before have we offered such a variety of volunteer options, but we believe that this FLEX system will not only assist you, but the children waiting for a Big Brother, Big Sister or In-School Mentor. We currently have a number of children waiting to be matched to a volunteer, and you can help.
